Terms of Use

SSTV.org.uk provides educational documentation and product information for SSTV Signal Desk and SSTV Lite.

Use of the site

SSTV.org.uk publishes static documentation, mode tables, source links, product information, support notes, and policy pages for SSTV Signal Desk and SSTV Lite. The docs are for educational, compatibility, and product-support use.

Radio operation

Users are responsible for complying with local radio laws, licensing requirements, band plans, station identification rules, and transmission limits.

Transmit responsibility

The apps can generate SSTV audio. You are responsible for deciding whether, where, and how that audio may be transmitted. Do not transmit on amateur bands without the required license and do not transmit content you do not have the right to send.

Public SSTV events

Public SSTV events can change, move, or be cancelled by their operators. The site links official sources and does not guarantee that a public event will occur.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and restores. SSTV Lite uses a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited microphone and WAV decoding after the included free saved decodes.

Documentation accuracy

App-supported mode rows are generated from the app's Swift mode table. Reference-only mode rows are compiled from checked SSTV references and marked with their support and verification status. Rare historical modes can have conflicting public tables; those rows should be treated as documentation until an implementation-grade timing source is available.

Third-party sources

ARISS, AMSAT, Apple, CelesTrak-related resources, and other linked sites are independent sources. Their schedules, prices, policies, and availability may change without notice.

No safety-critical use

The site and apps are not emergency communication systems, safety-of-life tools, or guaranteed satellite operation services. Keep independent records and use official operator sources for time-critical event planning.

Content rights

You remain responsible for the images, audio, callsigns, recordings, and captions you import, save, transmit, export, or share. Do not use the apps or site materials to infringe another person's rights.
